Mark Racine, the former Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Boston Public Schools, now serves as a consultant for RootED Solutions, a Boston, Massachusetts-based consulting firm specializing in EdTech strategy. During his over ten years as CIO for Boston Public Schools, Mark led several modernization initiatives across the district, including the successful rollout of a district-wide one-to-one program during the pandemic. His pandemic efforts earned him recognition by Boston Magazine in 2020 and the prestigious CIO of the Year award from the Council of Great City Schools. Mark is also the cohost of the K-12 Tech Talk Podcast and a member of the Department of Education's Government Coordinating Council for Cybersecurity.
